Successful estate planning involves some time commitment on your part. The process may require only 5 to 6 hours of your time over a few days or many hours over several weeks, depending on your situation, your schedule, and your desires in completing your plan to your satisfaction.
The process requires your involvement in six steps, taken in the following order:
- Schedule the Initial Consultation
- Prepare for the Initial Consultation
- Participate in the Initial Consultation
- Engage in (Customized) Consultations
- Prepare Documents
- Complete Transfer Work.
Knowing the process beforehand is mentally beneficial and practical. The more prepared you are beforehand, the more efficient the process will be, saving you time, energy, and money.
